Subnet mask, Default gateway, and everything else the same.Make sure to put all computers in the same workgroup. Either go to system from the control panel or right click my computer on the desktop or the start menu and select properties. You can change the workgroup from the computer name tab. All pc's must be in the same workgroup for file sharing to work. Ensure that file sharing is being allowed through the firewall in XP, go to the advanced tab and click firewall. Either turn the firewall off or make sure that file sharing is allowed in the exceptions. Just go to the exceptions tab and make sure the file sharing box is checked. You can share files by right clicking the files and going to sharing and security. Then just go into My Network Places on both of them and find the computers and transfer as necessary.
